bedroom styling
The best feature of this room is of course that view, out into the bush by day, and twinkling lights by night, so when it came to designing this room we wanted to make it a cosy extension of feeling like we are living among the native bush.
We chose netural colours throughout, and highlights of khaki and rust tones that pair naturally with the surroundings.
The custom dowel headboard is designed as a floating wall to divide the bedroom from the walkway wardrobe behind, and a lot of work went into detailing some sneaky bedside cupboards built into the headboard.
To finish off the furnishings, we opted for a thick loop pile carpet from Cavalier Bremworth that has created a sense of luxury and warmth across all three bedrooms in the house.
Our Necessities list:
Designing around the view into the bush
A floating wall to double as a headboard and also providing a wall for walk in wardrobe
Built in bedside storage, so no need for cluttered looking bedside tables
To create a quiet and calm hideaway from the main living spaces
