Dulux is our chosen paint supplier in New Zealand. With a huge variety of colours and innovative paint products, we always enjoy choosing from their Dulux Colours of New Zealand® colour palette. Adding a slice of home to our home!

Choosing the right white for our house wasn’t as simple as just opening up a colour fan deck and just choosing a white. We put a lot more thought and testing to ensure that the white suited the environment and other materials.

We rounded up our flooring, stone and colour inspiration to match in, and our final selection was Dulux Haast Half. We liked that it has a yellow undertone and a sense of warmth.

Dulux Half Haast works so well with the mood we wanted to create and we love how it looks so different as the light changes and shifts from the living room to the kitchen and family room throughout the day.

COLOUR SELECTING

We are big believers in looking at the way that nature brings colour together to be inspired for colour palettes.

With this stunning scenery just at our local beach, we couldn’t go past this amazing colour palette as the main source of inspiration for our interior colour palette.

Alex spent an afternoon down at Island Bay taking photos of the cliff faces, the beach, the wharf and from there we have chosen our favourite looks to help pull key colours from it

From this we have chosen a colour palette starting with a beige cream base to then tie all of the different hues of green, warm clay tone and sandy browns together.
